And He said to her,
“My daughter, how very proud of you, I am.
I know there has been hurt.
I know the road appears unending.
I know you struggle to see through the fog.
Rediscovering Hope Through the Lens of Suffering
And He said to her,
I know there has been hurt.
I know the road appears unending.
I know you struggle to see through the fog.
And He said to her,
“Don’t look back.
There’s nothing left for you there. Only wasteland.
Make the decision today, to walk forward.
Away from your past.
Ahead to your future.
Draw a line in the sand.
Take that first initial step.
Do it afraid.
Do it unsure.
Just do it.
The enemy wants to keep you stuck in the past, where what-if’s and if-only’s reside.
DO NOT GO THERE!
Your past has been wiped away- erased.
You have been forgiven- your mistakes forgotten.
All that remains is a tool belt, stocked with resources to propel you towards your destiny.
See, I make all things new.
I want to give you a prosperous future full of hope.
Shake off the regret, the shame, the condemnation, the doubt, the fear, the hurt, the unforgiveness.
Put on your new robes of righteousness.
Take up your shield of faith.
Great blessings await you there.
A life of abundance and joy.
Take My hand. Fix your eyes on me.
Will you trust me with your future?
Come, follow me.”
~Your Beloved
“Therefor, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness, and streams in the wasteland.“ (Isaiah 43:18-19)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:1)
And He said to her,
“There is a path that leads to righteousness; a straight and narrow path.
I’ll be your guide.
I’ll look after you.
Keep your eyes focused on me, so your heart doesn’t wander, and you lose your footing.
If you find your eyes beginning to stray- to the left or to the right- look to me.
I will help you to refocus.
When the light begins to fade, and the day turns into night- do not fear.
When you can no longer see the path before you, or my presence beside you- hold tight!
I have not left you. I am singing over you.
Walking without sight requires careful attention.
And faith.
You may be tempted to feel frustrated with the slow progress made in the dark, but you’ll notice that in these times of darkness, there is less to distract you.
Simply follow the sound of my voice.
In times of silence, when all is quiet, let your feet come to a halt.
Be still. Cease from striving. Refrain from moving.
Bask in these times of rest until I beckon you onward.
~Your Beloved
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.“ (John 10:27)
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deut 31:8)
And He said to her,
Lay your head on my shoulder.
Rest.
You’ve been depleted; running on empty.
Struggling to stay afloat with what little resources you have.
Why do you insist on trying to find your way in a dry and barren land?
Why do you grope about in the wilderness?
Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water, springing up to eternal life. (John 4:14)
Take a deep breath.
Breathe in my life-giving spirit.
Do you feel it?
Welling up inside you?
Now just rest.
Rest in my arms.
Daughter, you must make this a daily habit.
You must continue to be filled day after day.
I am faithful to fill you- if you will let me.
~Your Beloved
Are you dry and thirsty, seeking to find mercy?
Does your soul feel empty down inside?
Just come unto Jesus, He’s waiting now to fill us,
For He has a bountiful supply.
~ I Will Give You Water, by Jerry Thompson
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” ~John 4:14
