Dare I ask the hard question?
To what purpose are you using your influence?
Said King Solomon to God, “Give me wisdom and knowledge to lead the people properly.”
I am both convicted and inspired by Solomon’s humble request.
He did not ask the Lord for wealth or for fame. He did not ask for a platform to make his own name great.
Instead, he asked for wisdom to help lead his people well. He asked for knowledge to continue God’s great name among the people.
He could have asked for ANYTHING and God would have given it to him. But the desire of his heart was simply to govern his people well.
As church leaders, writers, parents, manager’s and influencer’s, etc, the weight of our words and our actions carry a responsibility to lead “our people’ well. With grace, truth, wisdom, humility and love.
Are we using our influence to help others? Or to help ourselves?
An honest reflection might reveal something we’d rather not see.
Prayer for Today
Lord, may the desires of our heart’s always be to use our sphere of influence, (no matter how big or how small), to lead your people well.
Bless us with wisdom and knowledge, so that our words, actions, and intentions bring glory to you.
And give us a heart of humility, for Your name’s sake!
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Thank you, Rachel, for inspiring this prayer-based gathering. I am feeling the impact of today’s words as I prepare talks for a women’s conference in March. I want to steward this influence so well. . .

Michele, I am speaking at a women’s retreat in March as well! I’m with you— I want to steward this opportunity well. I’ll be praying for you friend. I have no doubt that you’ll speak the words that God gives you, with grace and humility!

Rachel, that is a great question! How am I using my influence? It is something I thought about every day when I taught school. It is also something to consider now that I am a blogger. Thank you for inspiring introspection. I always want to allow God’s light to shine through me.
Rachel Lee says
It’s a question I have to ask myself often, because sadly I have a tendency to get off course. I want to be a good steward, and it’s important to me that my motives are pure. Asking the Lord daily for wisdom and knowledge along the way, helps!

Wouldn’t the world be a better and different place if we all asked God daily for wisdom? Thanks for sharing this encouraging word with us.
Rachel Lee says
Ah, I can only imagine! 🙂 Thanks Lisa!

Hi, did you know there are spells to win love back from an ex. I have done it. I love reading about relationships and how to make them work, how to better the relationship, and how to keep the spark alive, even how to talk to them a certain way to get them to think a different way about the situation and you. If you need advice or want to win your ex back, try DR EMU copy and message on the following ( Email: emutemple@gmail.com ) or ( WhatsApp: +2347012841542 ) It will change your mentality and get you what you want.
