Hello Friends! Today I have the absolute honor of writing for Sarah Koontz at Living by Design!
I am sharing on the subject of rejection, and healthy ways that we, as Christians, can respond to those who cause us hurt.
It would mean so much to me if you would join me there!

And now, it is my pleasure to introduce our spotlight writer of the week..
Spotlight Writer!
Introducing Kit Tosello!
Hi! I’m Kit! I write at Another Broken Hallelujah, to refresh others with the hope that refreshes me. To be effective, this requires honesty about my daily struggles, and intimacy with the Father to receive and convey what he’s teaching me through them.
My hubby, Garth, and I operate a tea shop/cafe in a quaint (read “tiny”) Western-themed tourist town in Central Oregon. As time permits, I write features for our local weekly paper.
I just became an emptynester. Three adult kids call me Mom, and there’s a two-and-a-half-year-old cherub with blonde ringlets who melts my heart every time she calls me Nana.
When did you begin your blogging journey, and why?
When the economy took its dive back in 2009, my job as a kitchen designer for a local custom cabinet shop went away. Garth lost his job the same year. Still, I sensed the Spirit telling me just to trust; this was all okay.
I launched an independent kitchen design business, and my social-media-savvy hubby suggested I start a blog. I called it The High Desert Home Companion and wrote about homey stuff: kitchen design trends, local events, recipes, etc.
Twitter was young, and it was all new and exciting. Soon I was invited to guest blog for other designers across the country.
Later that year, my mom went home to be with the Lord. Increasingly, my posts became off-topic. Personal. Meanwhile I landed a byline in the local paper. The Lord was unveiling my second-half career: writing!
I took a leap of faith, left kitchen design, and began calling myself a writer. Another Broken Hallelujah was born, and myriad other projects.
Five Faves
Fave food– I eat healthy, mostly dairy-free vegetarian. BBQ Kettle Chips are my kryptonite.
Fave Tv show– My kids tease me about being a sucker for Hallmark movies. Not gonna deny it.
Fave Pastime– Anything involving fresh air and nature! We live in mountain and lake country, so hiking or driving aimlessly with camera at hand.
Fave Bible character– Joseph, because his story reminds me my calamities are relatively minor, and God will redeem them.
Fave childhood memory– I lost my dad to lung cancer when I was a teen. So I hold certain memories close. Once he invited me to help him paint our rental house. He brought the transistor radio and let me choose the station, and we worked side by side. As I rolled soft yellow paint onto the stucco and sang along to Elton John and Donny Osmond, I sensed my father liked my company. Perhaps it’s why that buttery color is still a favorite.
Fun Fact
My real name is Catherine, but my dad started calling me Kit before I was out of diapers. On my dad’s side, I come from a long, nearly unbroken line of American preachers dating back to the 1700s. My son, a seminary student, appears to be resuming the line. And my older daughter’s husband is a youth pastor.
Prayer Prompt
I’m working on a book, so I covet prayers that I’ll continue to be inspired and focused, that it will serve and glorify God, and find its way to its readership.

Someday is Today, and You Have Everything You Need
What if Someday was today? Would I have everything I need for all it holds? Would you?
Which Someday are you waiting for?
Someday we won’t live paycheck to paycheck.
Someday I won’t be stupid-busy; then I’ll take care of myself.
Someday I’ll have more time and energy to serve God.
Someday the kids will rise and call me blessed. 😀
Today is someday!
Nearly twenty years ago, I slipped into a chair at church for a mid-week class. At my feet, Baby Chelsea lay sleeping, tummy full, nestled in her carrier. I’d just dropped off Marissa and Sean, then nine and seven years old, at Awana Club. If all went well, I had a couple hours to focus on the teaching.
After class, several women chatted about a ministry opportunity. I yearned to be part of it, but, well . . . the demands of a young family and all… when I whined to the friend next to me, I chose the wrong person to commiserate. But, in Kathy, I had chosen the perfect person to lovingly bop me up the side of the head.. {Continue Reading}

I especially loved reading about this memory you had with your dad, Kit: “As I rolled soft yellow paint onto the stucco and sang along to Elton John and Donny Osmond, I sensed my father liked my company.” What a beautiful sentiment not only with our earthly fathers, but also with our Heavenly Father. He loves our company.
Kit Tosello says
Yes, exactly, Lisa, I often go to those memories when I need reminding that the Lord too simply enjoys being with me. And I’m blessed to have that point of reference for a father’s love.
SCOTT WYCOFF says
Hi, did you know there are spells to win love back from an ex. I have done it. I love reading about relationships and how to make them work, how to better the relationship, and how to keep the spark alive, even how to talk to them a certain way to get them to think a different way about the situation and you. If you need advice or want to win your ex back, try DR EMU copy and message on the following ( Email: emutemple@gmail.com ) or ( WhatsApp: +2347012841542 ) It will change your mentality and get you what you want.
